Growing up, shopping was one of my mother and my favorite pastimes… not much has changed. As we would scour the sale sections, every so often my mom would excitedly squeal, “Oh my God, it’s back! I used to have this growing up. You see, Caroline, everything comes back!” A product of the mid-nineties, I would internally - or sometimes very obviously - roll my eyes as everyone knew that my Limited Too layered mini cardigan, tank tops (yes, plural), and gaucho pants were the height of fashion. Fast forward to my college days, when I would begin to shop in my mom’s closet for her now vintage accessories. I would don her eighties belts and purses at Florida State parties and often receive compliments on her pieces to which I would now excitedly reply, “Oh, this? It’s my mom’s from the eighties!”
